Cancel Your NSFAS Funding To Receive SASSA SRD Grant
To apply for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, first cancel any existing National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) funding. The SRD grant is intended for individuals who are unemployed and not receiving any form of income or government assistance, including NSFAS support. Therefore, to be eligible for the SRD grant, you must discontinue your NSFAS funding.

Steps to Cancel Your NSFAS Application
- Open the official NSFAS website.
- Enter your username and password to login to MyNSFAS account.
- Once logged in, Select “View Applications” under the Application Tracker.
- Click on “Track Application” to view your current application status.
- Within the application tracking section, click on the “Cancel Application” button.
- Confirm your decision.
